The 29th edition of the English Premier League has has ended on Sunday 24th May,2021 and here Blizz Uganda brings what you need to know about how it ended.

On the saddening note for the Arsenal fans, their team won't feature anywhere in European football next season season. Arsenal stood a chance to compete in next season's UEFA Europa League had both Everton and Tottenham lost but the latter won against Leicester and thus Arsenal's hopes of atleast featuring in Europe's third suffered a blow.

Man City were announced champions of the premier league a fortnight ago after Leicester City beat Manchester United-the then title chasers. The trophy was Man Ciy's fifth Premier League title and the seventh overall.

As champions, they'll be joined in the Champions League second placed Man Utd, third placed Liverpool and Chelsea who finished fourth, thanks to Tottenham who beat Leicester on the final day to help the "Blues" finish fourth.

Leicester who lost 4:2 to Spurs on the last day to finish fifth will play in the Europa League next season and will be joined by Westham who finished sixth. Westham takes the advantage of Leicester who won the FA cup and finished in top four, had it not been the case, the sixth position wouldn't take Westham in Europa League.

In seventh Position, Spurs qualifies for Uefa Europa Conference league, which starts next season. In this tournament, matches will be played at 5pm.

Fulham, Westbrom and Sheffield United were relagated to the country's second tier, the England Championship.

Harry Kane won his third golden boot after hitting 23 Goals, beating competition from Mohammed Salah who scored 22 goals.

Manchester City's Ederson Moraes was the best goalkeeper, moving home with the golden glove after 19 clean sheets.

Manchester United's 9:0 win against Southampton on 2nd February,2021 was is the biggest home win this season.

There were 1023 goals in 380 matches, averaging 3.69 per match.
