News came out stating how top Uganda Airline bosses and CEO were suspended fromt their services but now General Katumba Wamala has come out and told the truth of what happened.
The Daily Minotor published a story through which they stated how Uganda Airlines was on verge of collapsing in less than a year since it was re-introduced.
Through his twitter account, Katumba has posted;
" I would like to clarify these speculations about top @UG_Airlines bosses being suspended. Because of the low tempo operations caused by COVID19 and the fact that we have not yet started the long haul operations, top management at @UG_Airlines were asked to take leave."
"This was done; To train and test deputies for quality assurance Let top management rest as we prepare for the long haul operations Accumulated leave would cost the airline at some point. Let's stop the speculations and focus on supporting @UG_Airlines to better our country!"- he added.
