President Yoweri Museveni has slammed singer Ronald Mayinja accusing him of singing lies in many of his songs including the ‘Bizzemu’ that is deemed anti government during Catherine Kusaasira's Tears of a Woman Concert.

Museveni was the guest of honour at Catherine Kusasira’s concert held at Serena Hotel Kampala on Friday, September 20 and when he stepped on stage and sang his song ”Bizeemu” Mayinja highlighted increasing insecurity, alleged nepotism, corruption in the country that he says are rampant.

In the song, he accuses government of taking a back sit on many of the issues affecting the people including youths unemployment and failure to provide social services on top charging exorbitant taxes on every item.

Museveni explained that unlike in 1980’s, today the killers are individuals not the government in the power.

He advised Mayinja to stop using music to distort facts and other NRM achievements.

“This is good for entertainment and business, but should never be to the detriment of strides made in bringing our country out being a failed state. For example, I disagree with one of the singers who was saying “Bizeemu”, as if to say that this NRM government is committing crimes against its people!,” he said.
