Vipers SC Welcomes Back Yunus Ssentamu to the Team

Vipers SC have on Thursday 28th January,2021 announced the return of striker Yunus Ssentamu on a two year contract.

The club website read: "We are delighted to announce the return of Yunus Sentamu to the Club. The striker has signed a two-year contract."

The sensational forward returns to a club he played for in 2014, scoring six goals in 13 games before moving to Congolese side AS Vita in the same year.

He is a product of St. Juliana Secondary School who he netted 13 goals to finish tournament topscorer in the post primaries in 2011. His scoring antics left St. Mary's Kitende moved and hence lured his services that saw the striker score 16 goals in the 2013 Copa Coca Cola tournament in Kabale.

At Vipers, he brings in vast experience from DR Congo's AS Vita club, Tunisia's CS Sfaxien, Finland's FC IIves and Albania's FK Tirana.

Vipers offloaded Fahad Bayo and let out striker Steven Mukwala. The arrival of Yunus Ssentamu will add to Vipers SC's striking prowess which has Mohammed Shaban, Yiga Najib and Abraham Nduggwa.

On the same day, Vipers SC had a friendly match with Big League side Gaddafi FC in preparation for the resume of Uganda Premier League. The match played at Kyabazinga Stadium ended goalless.
