Nkumba University were red hot in their encounter with debutants Muni University as they put four un answered goals past the Arua side. Kiberu Derrick 43’, Abaho Israel 70’,Nsereko Jamaldin 73’, and Ozima Sadique 84’ were on target for the Entebbe based side.
The result took Nkumba University in second place in group E on four following a 0:0 draw with Gulu University their opening match. Bugema University tops the group with six points after wins against Muni University 2:1 and 4:0 win over Gulu University. Gulu University stand third with one point whereas Muni who are yet to win a match this season sit at the bottom.
Action continues on Saturday 7th March, 2020 in group C as Uganda Martyrs University “UMU” host Kampala University “KU” in Nkozi at 2:30PM. The two side will hope for their season’s first win as they succumbed to defeats their opening group matches. UMU were 1:0 losers to Busitema University in their opener whereas former Champions KU fell prey to International University of East Africa “IUEA” in a 2:1 loss.
