Multi Award Winning Radio Host and actress Malaika Nyanzi has narrated the life threatening and changing story of how she almost lost her life when she was looking for money in the wrong way.

Considered one of the sexiest women voices on Uganda radio stations in the past few years, recently quit from KFM and joined Capital FM, Malaika Nyanzi has taken it to her social media and put up a story that left many wondering why she had to work like  ahirse just to make ends meet.

The fashionista cum model talked about this loan she got that almost made her die since she had just a short period of time to pay it back. Read her story below:

"Do you see that scar(swelling) on my lower lip?.....So in 2016, I was working non stop and barely sleeping. The most I would do was 2hrs of sleep. I was paying a big debt I had in Nairobi and still had bills to pay here and even though I was working hard, the money wasn't adding up. I wasnt eating properly because work came 1st and my health kept deteriorating without my knowledge.

So one day, in the middle of the night, I felt weird, I got up and blacked out, when I regained consciousness, I was on the floor in my own blood, my tooth cracked, lip bust open, bruised my head and shoulder. As I lay there on the floor the only thing I thought about was "Crap I can't be late for work" ..... I got up, and I went to work an hour later.

I only went to the dentist and hospital after work. The doctors told me that if I ever wanted to see my 30s, I needed to slow down. It's not easy but I am trying my best to slow down. Please put your #Health and #MentalHealth 1st. You can't pour from an empty cup. " she narrated.
