Media personality and events emcee Lynda Ddane has spoken out against the negative comments she's received regarding her recent weight loss, expressing disappointment with the insensitivity of some reactions.
The NTV Uganda presenter, who has been admired for her energetic and charismatic presence, has faced a barrage of comments speculating about her health and lifestyle. Her prolonged absence from her television show only added to the rumors, leaving many fans curious and concerned.
While a large portion of her supporters offered words of encouragement and expressed genuine concern, others were less kind, with some suggesting unfounded and harsh allegations about her well-being.
In a heartfelt post last night, Lynda addressed the issue, condemning the inhumanity of certain remarks. “I learnt that people can easily forget that others are human,” she wrote.
Fans were divided in their responses. Some encouraged her to ignore the negativity, with one user, Phillip Kamugisha, offering uplifting words: “Be reminded that people are mean and insensitive. You are strong and victory is yours. God is on your side. Keep winning!”
However, others called for clarity, suggesting that her openness could help quell the rumors. “People are just being curious. They have been seeing you all fine and something seems different. Do you really expect them just to stay quiet about it?” one follower commented.
