Full List of MPS Suspended by Speaker Anita Among from Parliament Sittings After the Brawl

Following a heated altercation earlier today in Uganda’s Parliament, Speaker Hon. Anita Among has suspended 13 members for three consecutive sittings. Invoking Rule 88(2), Among ordered the legislators to vacate the chamber immediately, pausing the session briefly to restore order.

13. Francis Zaake - currently hospitalized from injuries sustained in the altercation

The incident stemmed from disputes over alleged security personnel in civilian attire within Parliament, which opposition members cited as a security concern. The suspension underscores ongoing tensions over parliamentary security and decorum.
