The Uganda Key Population Consortium – UKPC, held a lavish end of year party celebrations at Speke Resort Munyonyo to mark the closure of a succesful year for the Queer people, s3xual workers and the undervoiced. Sheebah Karungi exciteed revellers before fireworks lit up the sky.
UKPC closed off the year 2022 with a massive celebration of the milestones and at this event they shared achievements but also looking forward to doing more next year for the key populations.
Uganda Key Population Consortium was formed to bring together representatives of Key Populations (KPs) to collectively define and advocate for issues of common concern including response to shrinking resources and space for key population-led organizations.
At the event filled with Luxury, Art, Fun, Music, Socializing, the founder & National Coordinator of UKPC, Richard Lusimbo welcomed each and everyone and thanked the entire team for the work well done throughout the entire year.

At the peak of the event, musician Sheebah Karungi turned up and brought the whole vibe to the fullest performing some of her most exciting his songs that left no one seated.
As night approached the late hours, Fireworks were lit to indeed close the year in style. The UKPC community sang, danced and enjoyed precious moments together.
The organization serves as an advocacy platform coordinating strategic action and supporting systems and structure strengthening for all members including; Uganda Harm Reduction Network (UHRN), Sexual Minorities Uganda (SMUG), Uganda Network for Sex Workers Organizations (UNESO), Tranz Network Uganda (TNU) and other key population organizations that may not necessarily be part of those networks.
UKPC also engages with global health and human rights organizations who act in solidarity in the design and implementation of our policy agenda.
