Ugandan Women in London, U.K have officially launched an online Entrepreneurs in the UK Business Directory to help boost businesses, uplift each-other and achieve a dream of easing the difficulty Ugandans abroad go through to get authentic items we have back at home

“Every woman’s success should be an inspiration to another. We’re strongest when we cheer each other on.” - Serena Williams.

A business directory is a website or printed listing of information which lists businesses within niche based categories. Businesses can be categorized by niche, location, activity, or size and this case, businesses owned by Ugandans women in U.K are to be listed on this newly launched directory.

If you're looking for a great way to support women entrepreneurs from Uganda, then we are proud to be showcasing some of the most inspiring and innovative Ugandan female business owners living in the UK.

By Visiting Uganda Women Entrepreneurs UK Directory, you'll be able to locate and easily access items online delivered straight to you.

While these women are driven, many of them did not have a place to promote their products or services. Therefore, this directory was created to provide these Ugandan women entrepreneurs with a marketplace where their hard work and dedication can be recognized.

Here you can find amazing UK-based Ugandan businesses run by women, from fashion designers to tech entrepreneurs.

Not only can you find unique products from Uganda but also make an investment in the economy by supporting these women.

Many will ask - why women?! Well, as we all know that when you support a woman, you support a nation. Culturally Ugandan/African women play a huge role from raising families to transferring their skills to their offspring.

Often, women in the diaspora do side hustles after work (if they have full-time jobs), while stay-at-home mothers do them while caring for their children.

For many reasons, marketing their products/services can be challenging after all the hard work they put in.

Reasons such as:

  • No time to market themselves.
  • Not enough resources to carry out a marketing campaign.
  • Lack of technical know-how/knowledge to market their products/services.

On October 9th 2022, as Uganda celebrated its 60th Independence Day, the site was launched. While it was to commemorate the big celebration, it was also symbolic for women to gain this feeling of empowerment.

This Uganda Women Entrepreneurs directory came in to bridge that gap. To help these amazing women reach an audience that appreciates their work and we hope you will join us in supporting them.

Sarah Benice in partnership with G24 London Radio  looking forward to learning more about these inspiring female entrepreneurs.
