Jakana Nadduli Finally Laid to Rest in Nakaseke Amidst Tears and Agony

The son of the former Minister without portfolio Hajji Abdul Nadduli, Jakana Nadduli was laid to rest at his home in Nakaseke District following his demise as the burial was attended by hundreds of people including members of the opposition National Unity Platform who were questioning his cause of death.

Jakana Nadduli aged 37 years died on Monday morning at around 1:30am at his home as his family was planning to rush him to Orient Clinic in Wobulenzi town for treatment of severe pain in the stomach. His body was transferred to Mulago referral hospital for postmortem and returned at around 5pm.

Jakana's body was lowered in the grave at his ancestral home at Kaddunda village in Kapeeka sub county, Nakaseke district at around 5:50pm.

Swaibu Nsamba Gwojolonga, a family friend told the mourners that the pathologists at Mulago hospital asked for three days to examine the samples picked from the body and release the postmortem.

Nsamba said in the interest of the time, they agreed and brought the body for burial.

Ronald Ndawula, the Luwero district National Resistance Movement said Nadduli lost four children during the war but it was sad to lose the fifth under unclear circumstances.
