Defending champions Uganda Christian University advanced to the semi-finals of this season's Pepsi Uganda University Football League following a 3-0 victory over Nkumba University on Thursday in Mukono in the second leg of their quarter-final tie.
Isaac Ofoyrwoth opened the scoring for UCU in the second minute and David Mbalaga scored from the spot in the 48th minute.
UCU advanced 2:0 on aggregate after the two sides had a goalless draw in the first leg in Entebbe a fortnight ago.
UCU join St. Lawrence University and Uganda Martyrs University in the semi-finals as they await the winner between Makerere University Business School and Kyambogo University to complete the set.
Action resumes on Tuesday 11th October 2022 With Makerere University Business School hosting Kyambogo. The former beat the latter 2:1 in the first leg played at Kyambogo a week ago.
