Arua City side Onduparaka FC will start the 2022/23 season with negative two points after FUFA appeals committee rubbished the club’s appeal against the committee’s decision to the side docked two points.
The FUFA Appeals Committee upheld the decision passed by the FUFA Competitions Disciplinary Panel on 14th June 2022 against Onduparaka FC for breach of Article 31(10) of the FUFA Competitions Rules during their home league match with Arua Hill SC on 6th May 2022 at Green Light Stadium in Arua.
The FUFA Appeals Committee established that Onduparaka FC did not furnish sufficient evidence to convince the Committee to overturn the decision.
The decision and sanctions passed by the FUFA Competitions Disciplinary Panel on the 14th of June 2022 are maintained in their entirety.
Onduparaka will have two Po and goals deducted on them and this shall be implemented upon commencement of the 2022/2023 Uganda Premier League season despite the presence of the suspended one point and one goal deduction.
Onduparaka will have to play five home games behind closed doors and outside the West Nile Province. This will also be implemented upon commencement of the 2022/2023 Uganda Premier league season.
The games will be played in a neutral stadium cleared by the Club Licensing Committee for use during Uganda Premier League matches.
