Tooro Region Crowns Kahunde Kasfa Adyeeri As Miss Tourism, More Beauty Queens Awarded

Following a search that started off months ago, Tooro region has added itself to regions that have unveiled beauty queens to participate in this year’s Miss Tourism Uganda and Kahunde Kasfa Adyeeri has been crowned to represent.

In an event that happened over the weekend in the Tourism City, Fort Portal, Kahunde Kasfa Adyeeri was crowned Miss Tourism Uganda Tooro Region ahead of Kasemiire Sylvia who was the runner up and Musiimenta Diana the second runner up.

This year’s Tooro’s search was graced by University Students seeing an increased participation of ‘campusers’ unlike the recent competitions.

The search for this year’s Miss Tourism Uganda started off months ago in different regions.

West Nile, Bunyoro, Busoga, Ankole and Karamoja are the regions that have already unveiled their representatives with Mbale and Fort Portal having unveiled theirs over the weekend.

The National Grand Competitions will be held on September 23rd 2022 at Kampala Serena Hotel that will see pageants all over the country converge to battle for the crown of Miss Tourism Uganda 2022.

Conservationists and Environmentalists who attended the event have presented a proposal about the need to drive a campaign to protect the decreasing glaciers on Mt. Rwenzori which is location in Tooro region. 

Like most other developing countries, Uganda has severely been ravaged by climate change and the situation might worsen if nothing is done to preserve nature to subdue devastating consequences of climate change.

Kehunde the new Miss Tourism Uganda Tooro Region and her fellow winners thus promised to rally the community towards getting solutions against the impending dangers of climate change.

Miss Tourism Uganda has so far moved in eight different regions and now it will be heading to Buganda next week on 2nd September ahead of the grand event which will be less just 3 weeks away.
