Uganda U-20 national football team nick named "The Hippos" will be searching for a maiden AFCON U-20 title victory on Saturday 6th March,2021 when they face off with three time Champions Ghana.
For the Uganda side, it will only be the second time that a Ugandan national football team will be at the finals of a continental tournament.
The last time Uganda made it to a continental final was in 1978 when they also faced Ghana and lost 2:0 courtesy of two goals from Afriyie Opuku.
Speaking of the match slated to kick off at 11Pm (EAT) this Saturday, both the team head coach and captain are confident and worried of nothing.
“It has been a long journey to the final. We have gone through many challenges but we remained strong and victorious, Calmness is the key to our victories since the beginning and we have no pressure. We shall only be fighting to become champions", Byekwaso said in the pre-match press conference.
Team captain Kizito Gavin Mugweri had this to tell the supporters....
“We are not under pressure,” said Kizito during the pre-match presser. “We know that if we are fit, we can take on any challenge that comes our way.
