Alex Muhsngi, the CEO of Comedy Store has scrapped off singer Weasel Manizo from the Comedy Store lineup on allegations of domestically abusing abusing his wife, Sandra Teta.
The Goodlyfe singer was part of the lineup meant to treat comedy lovers from the weekly stress and boredom on Wednesday 10th August 2022.
However, Weasel has instead been replaced with Lilian Mbabazi as revelers threatened to boycott Comedy Store for supporting the violation of human rights through associating with abusers like the singer.
Muhangi and team also feared losing Comedy Store show sponsors mention the likes of NTV Uganda, Silver Springs, Silk Events and others for promoting violence if he went on to host Weasel at Comedy Store.
Critics demand a public apology from Weasel for violation of human rights with impunity through battering his wife, Sandra Teta or else vow to continue boycotting all services and brands that associate with the singer.
