Bul FC became the first Jinja side to win the Uganda Cup after seeing off Vipers SC with a 3:1 thumping at King George Stadium in Masindi.

The Alex Isabirye Coached side led the match 3:0 by the 51st minute with Karim Nduggwa scoring a brace in the 27th and 51st minutes and Simon Peter Oketch scoring the other in the 41st minute.

Vipers SC consolation goal was scored by club skipper Halid Lwaliwa in the 70th minute as Bul FC made real meaning of revenge to a side that thumped them 8:1 in the last edition’s final at Njeru Technical Center.

Winners Bul FC walked home with 50MUgx whereas Vipers pocked 25MUgx. It was Bul FC coach Alex Isabirye’s third Uganda Cup triumph having also won it in 2012 and 2013 with URA FC and Victoria University respectively.

Bul FC players swooped all the awards, with Karim Nduggwa, Emmanuel Kalyowa and Walter Ochora winning the Top scorer’s gong (9 goals), best goalkeeper and best defender respectively.
