Malembe lifestyle and Heineken organized the champions League final screening match at Panamera bar and Icon Lounge last Saturday evening which saw both hangouts full to capacity. The football match was between 6-time winners Liverpool Fc up against 13-time winners Real Madrid and the highly anticipated match saw many walking away with prizes during the evening.
It was a sober mood by 8pm as revelers started walking into both bars and by 10pm, moods had gotten high as rivals fans had started cheering on their teams to be victorious.
Earlier on, predictions were made and participants were eager to know how the match would end.
You could really feel the intensity throughout the match and at the end of the day, those supporting the Spanish side Real Madrid had the last laugh as they came out victorious. Madrid won the game by a goal to nil becoming the Kings of Europe for the 14th-time.
Those who had given the right predictions walked away prizes including footballs, key chains, Heineken beers, backpacks and t-shirts among others.
Heineken had earlier launched a new TVC campaign called ‘Cheers to All Fans’ which was meant to flip gender stereotypes on their head, celebrating all the female fans out there who sneak a peek at the footie scores while they are on a date or get together with friends to watch the match.
