Ugandan singer Big Eye StarBoss has been arrested in Kawempe alongside his driver and fellow musician Moses Wyza, who was allegedly filming the arrest. The two are expected to sleep behind coolers tonight.
The incident occurred today during the Kawempe North MP by-election, where Big Eye, a known supporter of the National Unity Platform (NUP), was reportedly caught snooping near a section where ballot boxes were being kept by security.
Authorities swiftly apprehended him, along with his associates, and detained them at Kawempe Police Station, where they are expected to spend the night.
Moses Wyza’s arrest has particularly raised eyebrows, as reports suggest he was only holding his phone and recording the incident.
It remains unclear what charges will be brought against the trio, but the incident has already stirred discussions among NUP supporters and social media users.
