Bishop Stuart University earned its first win in the Pepsi University Football League after edging Kabale University 1-0 today Sunday at their Riverside Stadium in Mbarara.
It was an end to end encounter with both sides creating plenty of goal scoring chances however it was Twinoweitu Amos’ 69th goal from the spot that decided the game.
Victory takes Bishop Stuart to second place on the three-team Group C log with 3pts one adrift of leaders Kyambogo University who are on 4pts after 2 games.
Kabale University are now bottom of the table with 1pt point also from 2 games.
The Pepsi University Football League resumes tomorrow Monday with an epic bout in Group D between St. Lawrence University and Makerere University at Crown City Campus Kavule at 3pm.
