The penultimate round of the Uganda Premier League saw one match played on Friday 13th May with home and also less fancied side SC Villa edging past visitors Arua Hill SC with a 2:1 score. Thanks to goals from Mutyaba Travis and Gift Fred in the 34th and 85th minutes respectively to give SC Villa lifeline in and surety of surviving relegation whereas Rashid Toha pulled one for Arua Hill.
Arua Hill SC who are fourth on a sixteen team log came into the match off a 3:0 away destruction of Onduparaka and an eleven match winning streak, with their last league defeat coming in a 3:1 loss to league champions Vipers SC on 12th February, 2022.
The win and 8th of the season took the record league champions (16X) to 10th position on 33 points.
On the other side however, Arua Hill remained 4th on the table with 49 points but can lose their position to Bul FC if the oli makers get maximum points against relegation bound Police FC on Saturday 14th May, 2022.
The Uganda Premier League penultimate round continues on Saturday 14th with seven matches lined up, major of al being an encounter between Police FC against Bul FC and URA verses Busoga United. Police and Busoga United are still in the fight against relegation and will both be looking to winning their matches on the day.
