Latest news on Blizz Uganda desks indicate how former city philanthropist Brian Kirumira aka Bryan White is in deep trouble after failing to pay back a debt worth $270,000.
The socialite owes various people including Cpt Mike Mukula monies totalling to over Shs1billion and several of these people have since opened up cases against him and now a woman identified as Sarah Matovu says she lent Bryan White $270,000 (about Shs994,666,500 in November last year. The agreement was that he was to pay it back in 2 months.
However, he failed to honour the agreement. By August this year, he had still not paid back any penny. Instead, he met Sarah and pledged to pay on 5th September, 2019 but still failed to honour this pledge.
Left with no choice, she has dragged him to the Commercial Court through her lawyers of Kasirye, Byaruhanga Co Advocates. According to Bukedde, she is not the only person owed money by Bryan White. There many others including Cpt Mukula.
Brian White also owes Mukula’s company, Arrow Security systems Ltd $76,757 (about Shs282m) the balance that remained when he was sold a car, a Mercedes Benz reg. UBB 480Z.
A case has since been opened up against him registered CS 776/2019. He also owes Shs135million to a one Ephraim Kirumira for the tents that were sold to him on credit. A case was already opened up against him. The other case against him is of failing to pay $160,000 (about Shs590million) to one Alex Binywenda for the car Reg. UBA 063J that was sold to him.
