The 2021 Masaza Cup edition has on Wednesday 1 December 2021 seen Muganzirwazza group commence with two matches. 2016 champions Buddu took on Butambala whereas 2012 runners up Buwekula late in the day played against Busujju.
In the day's opener played at mid-day, Buddu played and won 1:0 against Butambala, thanks to a 70th minute goal from Bruno Bunyanga.
Later in the day at 4pm, Buwekula walloped Busujju in a six goal thriller that saw the former win 5:1 to top the group with three points, level with Buddu but with a superior goal difference.
Buwekula's Ismail Tabula hit a hat-trick (34’, 81, 90+2’) with the other goals coming from Isaac “Messi” Musiima 36' and Abdul Nsereko 57' whereas Busujju's consolation was scored by Ivan Kaweesi in the 62nd minute through.

Butambala will play host to Mawogola and Buwekula taking on Buddu.
