"So when one is struggling for what to eat at home when you have never given one anything be it a bag of posho, then you have no right to call that person a beggar," Weasel Manizo.

Goodlyfe singer Douglas Mayanja also known as Weasel Manizo has bitterly attacked former presidential candidate Hon. Kyagulanyi Robert Sentamu aka Bobi Wine for dubbing local musicians beggars.

In his recent social media post that has since caused a lot of noise from stake holders in the local music industry, Bobi Wine dubbed local musicians as celebrated beggars for lacking the knowledge of survival amidst the ongoing pandemic lockdown and instead always pool at President Museveni brother, Gen Salim Saleh's residence in Gulu to beg for handouts.

Now the totally offended "Guwooma" singer while being hosted on Galaxy FM's Big Bang Evening Rush radio show had no kind words for "Taata Suubi" and instead faulted him for making himself richer through begging from the whites amidst the ongoing pandemic without sharing with his fellow musicians.

Since no musician has ever gotten food relief or financial assistance from Bobi Wine, Weasel claims Bobi has no right to call musicians beggars.

According to Weasel, artistes flocked Gen Saleh's residence in Gulu with an aim of sketching up a lasting solution on how best the local music industry can flourish amidst such pandemics.

"Did Bobi Wine say all this as a politician or a musician? Caz he carries two professions. But I don't think musicians are beggars caz they have been robbed for long, for two good years without working while many are working. We see them on TV as Europeans send them money as we hustle for yaka bills. So when one is struggling for what to eat at home when u have never given one even a bag of posho, u have no right to call that person a beggar caz that person might have not come to beg from u. That person might have gone to beg what u don't give him/her. We went to Gulu to find a way forward for the betterment of our local music industry."- Weasel Manizo
