Appearing on NTV Mwasuze Mutya talk show, legendary singer Chance Nalubega exposed musician exploiters in the industry and on top of her list was events promoter and music manager Hajj Musa Kavuma, commonly known as KT Promotions.
Talking to Ruth Kalibala about her tough Music journey as a struggling musician she was, trying to earn from her music, Nalubega stated that some music promoters used to organize concerts and use their images.
"When I was still young and trying to earn from my music, I set my standard to 300k if someone wanted me to perform at a show but some promoters used to put up our posters and hire other girls to perform in our places, hence eating our money"- Chance Nalubega stated.
She went ahead and narrates a scenario where she was organized along Entebbe road and when she saw her poster, advertised by KT Promotions she went to police to report but they were of no help.
"I really hate these promoters upto today, when I saw my poster and police failed to help me I went direct to the venue and comfronted Musa Kavuma but he refused to pay me my money, He instead said he had someone else to perform as me and they were paying him only 50K, I was so ashamed and sad I had to drive back to Masaka to get my Fathers Lawyer to help"- Chance added.
After a long scuffle, she stated that her lawyers were able to help her and stopped different events that were organized in her names yet she wasn;t aware and with time she started earning from her music, staging her own concerts and earning millions from her music.
