Football governing body of Uganda, FUFA, has announced that celebrated referee Alex Muhabi has retired from active refereeing after 21 years. Muhabi has been referee since he qualified as on in 2000.
He has officiated at the Uganda Premier League for 16 years and has been a FIFA referee for seven years.
Upon his retirement, FUFA posted....
"THANK YOU ALEX.
Alex Muhabi retires from active refereeing after 21 years of great service.
Qualified as referee in 2000. Officiated in UPL -16 years.
FIFA referee-7 years.
Thank you for the Great Service Alex as a Referee."
