For weeks, Uganda security organs have been on pressure trying to figure out what a USA Warship was doing on Mombasa waters but now the ship has taken a new direction after Bobi Wine withdrawing his Petition.

According to reports, the US Naval Warship has departed Mombasa and latest news indicates that it has docked at Cape Town in South Africa.

The US Navy’s Expeditionary Sea Base USS Hershel “Woody” Williams (ESB 4) arrived in Cape Town, South Africa on Feb. 20, 2021 for a planned port visit.

The visit builds on U.S. maritime partnerships with African nations and improves maritime safety and security in the region.

According to a statement, “USS Hershel “Woody” Williams’ manning and maintenance model maximizes our availability and ensures our persistent presence in African waters,” said Commanding Officer, Capt. Michael Concannon.

The ship was in Mombasa prior to it’s visit to Cape Town. When it docked in Mombasa, a section of members of Uganda’s opposition begun creating all kinds of theories about its presence.
