Vipers SC narrowly escaped losing a first match of the season when returnee soldier Yunus Ssentamu struck an equalizer late in the dieing minutes to salvage a point for the Venoms.
Yusuf Ssaka had given the "Slaughters" a half time lead in the 12th minute but Yunus Ssentamu levelled matters nine minutes later. Richard Matovu restored Kyetume's lead in 50th minute but Yunus Ssentamu Ssentamu's brilliant strike in the last minute of the game meant Vipers continue their unbeaten run in seven matches thus far. Yunus Ssentamu's brace took his goals tally for the season to five in three matches.
Vipers thus lost their top spot to Police FC who beat BUL FC 2:0. Thanks to goals from Johnson Ondongo and Brian Mayanja. Johnson Ondongo was also named man of the match. Police currently tops the table with 16 matches from 5 wins, 1 draw and a loss in seven matches.
At Bombo Military Ground, UPDF was at fault again as visiting side Onduparaka beat them 1:0. A goal from usual suspect Kabon Living was enough to give the "Caterpillars" a deserved win.
The result sees the Arua based side move to fifth position on 12 points. Mbarara City were also 1:0 winners against home side Kitara FC. A goal from Okwalinga Solomon won the "Ankole Lions" three points and currently stand 13th with six points and three ahead of relegation. Earlier in the day, Jinja SS and Bright Stars playing at FUFA Technical center-Njeru played to a one all stalemate.
