After the elections handled for Member of Parliament and president of Uganda on 14th January 2021, today Mayors and LC Councillors were next but voters have turned in few numbers to cast the votes, leaving contestants very worried.

According to reports Blizz Uganda received, some leaders have attached this to the government not considering this day as a public holiday for people not to work but rather go for these elections.

Derrick Nyeko MP Makindye East -Elect and leader of NUP youths in Kampala metropolitan said;

"The government was supposed to consider this a public holiday for people to cast their votes and go home as it was for parliamentary and presidential elections".

He added that the government must not only follow-up the member of parliament votes and presidential votes only but they must strongly follow-up the election of the local leaders because it's where much of the service delivery takes place.
