When the MTV Africa Music Awards 2021 Nominations List came out, everyone rushed to check it out to find out whether their favorite musician was nominated as one who caught our attention most was Spice Diana.
Fifty two MAMA Kampala 2021 nominees were listed all from 15 countries with the initial 10 music categories by MTV.
Even though there was s fracas on Social Media about who exactly deserved to be nominated and who didn’t deserve to be on the list, almost everyone agreed that Star Girl aka Spice Diana deserved to be on this list, and most so, in different categories even though she was put in only one.
Having had a good year, Blizz Uganda team has put together 8 reasons why Spice Diana really deserves to win the Best Ugandan Act Award in the MAMAs.

1. Good Music:
In the past Five (5) years, okay, let’s just the past one year, Spice Diana has had most of the top trending hit songs, releasing hit after hit having kicked off 2020 with songs like; Jangu Ondabe, On You, Muntu Wange (Ft. Chosen Blood), Corona (Ft. Fik Fameica), Kwata Wano, and her biggest song Kokonya ft. Harmonize.

2. Branding:
Apart from Spice Diana having one of the most serious and strategic music / career managers, Spice Diana’s brand as a music surely speaks for itself. Spice did something not any other Ugandan musician had ever done before, branding herself with body guards to protect both her image and her security as a person, this gave her a huge plus.
3. Fashion:
Surely when speaking about the most fashionable musicians in Uganda, Spice Diana must be among the top 5 musicians having even won different awards as the most stylish female musician in Uganda. She is one of those artistes that always set the trend in the country.
4. Humanity:
When it comes to sharing, caring for and loving strangers, singer Spice Diana always pulls out her best tricks off her sleeves her most recent one being Rukia,a young girl she recently picked interest in and turned her life. When the Covid-19 Pandemic came in, Spice Diana was one of the first musicians to offer aid to Ugandan entertainers when she gave out a full truck of Matooke.
5. Concerts:
One of the best ways to determine whether a musician is successful, in Uganda music concerts are used to rank an artiste’s reach and powerfulness but when Spice Diana filled up Freedom City with her third concert this year in January, am sure even MAMA organizers had a turn in the tummies.

6. Inspirational:
To be named the best act in Uganda, we are very sure being inspirational to young minds and already established fellow artists must be one of them and Spice Diana has proven to be the big dog of this especially when she recently paraded off her multimillion house, inspiring many young females to work towards achieving the same dream as hers.
7. Nobel:
When it comes to this field, Spice Diana is one of the most Nobel celebrities in Uganda, musically she has never had any fights with anyone even though at some point fingers were being pointed buts he later on came out and kissed whoever was said to be beefing her. No Fights.
8. Stage Performance:
In only the year 2020, even amidst the coronavirus lockdown, Spice Diana has staged more than 5 Online music concerts, all turning up successful, entertaining and fun for the fans watching, be my witness, visit her YouTube Channel for all these shows.
Only time will tell who will win this accolade but surely, look at the above mentioned reasons.
The 2021 MTV Africa Music Awards (MAMAs) will be held in Kampala, Uganda on 20th February 2020 in a virtual setup that will be broadcast live on MTV Base (DStv channel 322) and voting is already open.
