The curtains of the Star Times Uganda Premier League will go down today Thursday 3rd December as a Bright Stars and KCCA FC fixture open the 2020/2021 season.

The match will be played at 4pm at Kavumba Recreation center.

KCCA FC will look to reclaim the league they lost to Vipers SC last time when the league ended prematurely and the trophy was sportingly given to Vipers.

KCCA FC have gone under a club overhaul that has seen them release very many senior players and recruiting more than ten youths and more ambitious players who include Stefano Mazengo Loro, Charles Lwanga, Ashraf Mugume, Denis Iguma, Bright Anukani, Brian Aheebwa, Samson Kigozi, Dominic Ayellaand others.

Football lovers and KCCA FC fans will look to see how the additions will improve KCCA FC as the side also has an engagement in the continent in CAF Confederation Cup.

On the Bright Stars side however, they have had enough preparations, bringing new coach Baker Mbowa formerly at Proline FC and have also unveiled new club sponsors in MAKIHIKA, a Japanese genius YouTuber. Bright Stars also went into contract with SHOWA Gloves, ASHINAGA Uganda, Financier Ink the other club sponsors and with all odds, it's probable Bright Stars will be a much more changed side this time round.

Ssebunza Sulaiman, Derrick Ngoobi, Janjali Joseph all renewed their contracts and had Samuel Ssekamatte as a new recruit.

Soltilo Bright Stars go into this fixture as the boggey side having accumulated four points from this fixture last season. They drew 1:1 at home and won 2:1 away to KCCA FC at now MTN Omondi Stadium, Lugogo. KCCA FC will therefore venture into the fixture well knowingly it is not a walk over.
