So many people have been wondering about the brains and talent behind the famous mural of the late Mowzey Radio at Jose Chameleone’s DNA lounge and Bar in Kololo, and also the famous Bobi Wine mural in Kamwokya but now we have him.

David Yergeau, better known as Monk-E, is a French-Canadian HipHop culture activist who channels his writing, his drawings and his growing desire for social justice into one coherent mouvement.

Monk-e has been doing art professionally and internationally active since 1996 years and he has done this while traveling all over the world basing on the changes in weather and now his latest is Uganda.

MONK-E, the visual artist:

Monk-e is a self-thought visionary urban artist, multilingual poet and globe-trotter. Rooted in the world of graffiti and contemporary urban art since 1996 hence producing hundreds of Murals allover the world, he renamed his art form under the term Calligraffiti Alchimographic. Painting, exhibiting and publishing visual art and music all over the world allowed him to accumulate an encyclopedia of technics from various collaborators.
