FDC presidential flagbearer, Mr Patrick Amuriat has been arrested on arrival at the party headquarters in Najjanankumbi and whisked to Nakawa for nomination.
Amuriat was arrested by police personnel deployed at the party headquarters in Najjanankumbi, Kampala.
Efforts to resist arrest did not bear fruit as he was overpowered by over five cops.
Amuriat, who had vowed to not adhere to route guide issued by police to the presidential nominations venue in Kyambogo, was forced into a waiting police car which drove away.
“Close the door, faster,” said one of the cops as Amuriat sat in the back seat.
Several FDC activists were arrested from Najjanankumbi where they had organised prayers before today’s nomination exercise.
