A few weeks ago People Power supporters and Bobi Wine came out and announced how they had lost access to Ghetto TV, an online station and now their former member Ashburg Katto has registered it as his own.
Self styled popular social media blogger Ashraf Katto alias Ashburg Katto has registered his online Ghetto TV and personal blog with the Uganda Communications Commission (UCC).
The development is inline with UCC's recent initiative of registering and licensing all social media content providers as a way of regulating them easily.
UCC recently introduced a new tax for all content creators, be it bloggers, website owners or even YouTubers as they have to first register and get a license.
All persons engaged in digital and broadcast communications services are required to seek authorization from UCC before October 5th.
Previously with the People Power opposition Movement, Big Fish last Tuesday 14th officially registered his online Ghetto TV as a personal entity that he will be using in his new political home, the ruling NRM Party.
