Uganda Cranes players have raised their concern to demand for what President Museveni Promised them in the recent 2019 African Cup of Nations. The sports lover, the President of the Republic of Uganda pledged $1M to the players if they made it past to the group stages which they did.

In the midst of this Covid-19 pandemic, the players think it is the right timing for their promise to be filled. The National team captain-Dennis Masinde Onyango had this to tweet:

"Greetings @YoweriMuseveni.In these tough Covid-19 times we find the timing right to remind you about the $1m promise after Afcon last year. We feel frustrated & unhappy our token of appreciation hangs in balance.Pliz intervene.@nyamadon,@lindahNabusayi,@JanetMuseveni @HamsonObua"

Dancing Rasta Allan Katerega also tweeted, "Greetings from Uganda Cranes players Your Excellency President @KagutaMuseveni

In these tough Covid-19 times with everyone trying to fend for themselves, we find the timing right to remind you as the No.1 citizen of the Pearl of Africa about the $1m (One Million Dollars)"

Miya Farouq also had the same to tweet, "Greetings @KagutaMuseveni . In these tough Covid-19 times, we find the timing right to remind you about the $1m promise after Afcon last year. We feel frustrated & unhappy our token of appreciation hangs in balance. Pliz intervene. @JanetMuseveni @HamsonObua @lindahNabusayi"

It should be remembered that recently, Shanita Namuyimba aka Bad Black was in a battle with the Ministry of health demanding for his money for the advert against sex sellers staying at the roadsides and after full filling her demands, the Cranes stars have also followed suit.

For starters, Uganda Cranes made it past the group stages for the first time since 1978 when they made it to the finals which they lost 2:0 to hosts Ghana.
