Express FC Fires Hamza Junju, Immediately Replaces him with Isaac Mwesigwa

Six time Uganda Premier League Champions Express FC have on Friday 29th May, 2020 announced new CEO Isaac Mwesigwa few moments after the club mutually ended Hamza Jjunju's tenure at the club as the CEO.

A club statement issued on Friday partly reads:

"As we continue to re-build our club, it gives me great pleasure to announce the appointment of Mr. Isaac Mwesigwa as the new Express FC CEO. By mutual consent, Mr. Hamza Junju ceases to be CEO with immediate effect. I would like to take this opportunity to thank Mr.Hamza Jjunju, the outgoing CEO for the job well-done in steering the club over the past few years, thank you". A document signed by the club chairman Kiryowa Kiwanuka reads.

Hamza Jjunju has also issued a statement showing how he has been relieved of his duties at the club by mutual consent.

It partly reads..

"After a thorough, open minded discussion with the board chairman Express Football Club, we resolved to mutually part ways. I thank the club board, technical team, players, fans, and media for the good relationship we have had as I served the mighty Express Football Club. Welcome Isaac Mwesigwa to club as new CEO. "

Express FC finished 9th in the table of the cancelled 2019/20 season with nine wins, four draws and 12 losses with 31 points.
