Secular cum gospel artiste Desire Luzinda has called on the church to consider running to the rescue of gospel artistes by donating food relief to the latter as the lockdown financial crisis continues to bite.
As several members of local entertainment industry continue struggling to find the means to make ends meets during these unprecedented times of the Covid-19 lockdown, "Owekitone" believes its high time the church considers rescuing gospel musicians by donating them with some food relief and basic necessities.
Desire Luzinda asserts that given the fact that gospel musicians contribute a lot to the church as far as ministering the God's works, the church shouldn't betray them by letting them into starvation.
"What is the role of the church to the gospel industry? Gospel artistes need the same grip from the church itself during this crazy times !" tweeted Desire Luzinda.
