Local singer Mary Bata has eulogized fallen country music legend Kenny Ray Rogers who passed away in the wee hours of Friday 20th morning at the age of 81 years.

Accordingly, Mary Bata has heaped praises on the American singer, songwriter, actor, record producer and entrepreneur who was like a dad to her and a person she used to seek solace from especially during her hard times and stressful moments.

From communicating to him on a daily basis and seeking guidance and counselling whenever need arisen, the 'Akayimba' singer is worried to have become an orphan in such trying moments when even the industry is on a lock down as concerts were stopped due to the ongoing pandemic.
