Uganda University football league debutantes Muni University have on Wednesday 18th March, 2020 secured their first win in the tournament's history with a 3:1 thumping of home side Gulu University.
Gulu had to come from a goal down to win 3:1 with goals from Pariyo Nelson in the 13th minute, Abiyo Albert in the 41st minute before Mangusha Caleb sealed the win with 15 minutes to play. Gulu University had scored the match's first goal in the 7th minute through Ivan Kakooza.
The win lifts the Arua based University to third position with three points as Gulu University drop to the bottom with one point.
Bugema University still tops the ground (E) with six points from two wins in as many matches as Entebbe based Nkumba University remain second level on points with Muni University (3) but with a superior goal difference (4:2).
There is no certainity of when the league resumes as the President in his speech to the nation about Corona Virus on Wednesday 18th March, 2020 called off all sorts of public gatherings for a period of one month.
