2018 University Football league champions Kyambogo University have on Friday 13th March, 2020 out washed Allan Kabonge’s side University of Kisubi (UniK) in a four goal thriller. Kyambogo scored through Odyek Daniel 24’, Tugume Teanan 44’, Ssekidde Robert 79’, Nabaasa Emma 90’ and secured their second win of this year’s tournament in three matches.
Kyambogo now tops group A level on points with Kabaale University (six) but with a superior goal difference of six as compared to Kabaale’s two. Kabaale University now stands second as Mbarara University of Science and Technology remains third on the table with three points while Kisubi University remain the only side in the group without a point in three matches.
Unik’s coach “Allan Kivebulaaya” Kabonge also known as “the Messiah “was thought to bring a change at the Kisubi based side as he is well known for his antics that have seen him get many big league sides promoted to the top flight but things are yet to work out for him in University football league losing all the three matches.
Action continues in the weekend as Kampala University host Busitema University in group C on Saturday 14th March, 2020 whereas Mbarara University of Science and Technology will host Kabaale University in group A in Mbarara on Sunday 15th March, 2020.
