Veteran music producer Rinex real names Michael Unegiu out of good will has decided to surrender his Zzina Awards nomination slot to the young generation Blizz Uganda has learnt.
Producer Rinex had been included in the category of the best producer in the forth coming awards of Uganda's leading urban youth station Galaxy FM 100.2 as it recognizes and rewards the most outstanding Ugandan talents of the previous calendar year.
According to Renix who is also the president of the Association of the Audio Producers in Uganda (APAU), he has decided to withdraw from the awards so as to give a chance to the young producers so as to attain a self discovery.

“I was nominated in Zzina Awards alongside my fellow brothers. An award is a token of appreciation for hard work, thank you so much for recognizing my hard work 2019/2020.
With due respect, I would love to dedicate my nomination to my fellow brothers listed below who still need more platform and they have really worked so hard to transform this music industry. I dedicated myself to nurturing producers since then and by God’s grace they’re making it to the top; I’m still producing more producers. Please vote for your favourite producer,” reads part of the statement by Rinex.
The nomination list has producers like Nessim, Daddy Andre, Artin, Diggy Bauer, Ronnie, Bomba, Rinex and T.O.N.
