The Pepsi Uganda University Football League match day two continued on Sunday 1st March with University of Kisubi (UniK) hosting Kabaale University at UniK grounds. The latter were the day’s earners as they put two goals past Kisubi University as the hosts managed only a consolation.
Kabaale University had the first goal in the 12th minute through Muyambi Davis before team mate Prince Aryatuha scored into his own net to level matters for the hosts. The visitors didn’t give in as they immediately gained momentum and scored the winning goal in the 90th minute through Niwagaba Peter.
The win, second for Kabaale University in two matches lifts the side to the top of group A on six points, with Kyambogo dropping to second as Mbarara University of Science and Technology (MUST) stand third. Unik who have lost all their opening two matches sit at the bottom.
The league will have a two days recess with action fresuming on 4th March, 2020.
