The poacher seems to have become the "poached" after reports coming in confirming how Next Media Group has lost the services of its Cream Dela Cream journalist Raymond Mujuni to rival media house NTV Uganda.

Two years down the road ever since joining NBS TV from the Serena based NTV Uganda, Raymond Mujuni Quatahar has penned an emotional farewell letter confirming how he is leaving the biggest media franchise in the land for a new challenge else where.

Regarded as one of the best investigative journalists in the country, rumour has it that he might settle at Serena Conference Hotel or head to Nairobi to carry on his trade with NTV Kenya.

“This Friday is my last day working with the Next Media Group. It has been an amazing two years & three months working with each of you to build, grow and maintain the brand Next Media as Uganda’s biggest media franchise.

I have enjoyed working and building this dream mostly with the Investigations Desk and our news profile. I have also done this severally with Next Radio and NilePost where I have been a show host/producer and columnist concurrently.

It didn’t come easy – the decision to leave – but I’m grateful that it now is a reality. In my time with the brand we have improved our news profile, we have held government – and the corporate sector accountable, we have led to national legislation changes, we have sparked national conversations on abortion, sexual harassment, corruption and even defunct state assets.

This has been possible because the platform accorded to me – and you by extension – was a credible, trusted and strong one. It is my prayer that it is maintained by you – the team left behind. My time at Next Media has been nothing short of thrilling, exciting, educative and career-growing. It couldn’t ofcourse have been a smooth ride. For the days where force of hand or word rubbed anyone the wrong way, I deeply and immensely apologise. It wasn’t for ill intent.

Over the coming days, I will take time off to reflect, spend time with my family and loved ones and plan to take on a new assignment at my next designation. For those consistently between Uganda and Nairobi, we shall definitely run into each other on both these streets. Goodbye, my friends and colleagues," Said Raymond Mujuni.
