Music star Moses Ssali aka Bebe Cool has come out and clarified growing speculations about his son, Alpha Thierry Ssali, who is currently in Spain exploring opportunities in football for a team to join and leaving the UPL.
Taking to social media, Bebe Cool confirmed that Alpha has not signed with any Spanish football club but is undergoing trials under Khaled Catalunya Management. The trials aim to assess Alpha’s skills, fitness, and potential as a football player.
In a statement titled "Update on Alpha Thierry Ssali's Football Trials," the singer wrote:
"Alpha Thierry Ssali is currently undergoing trials with Khaled Catalunya Management in Spain. The programme is assessing his skills, fitness, and potential.
We expect to receive feedback after the trials, which will provide valuable insights into his status as a player and areas for improvement. This feedback will guide our decision on his next steps."
The singer also addressed reports claiming Alpha had signed with a Spanish club, dismissing them as "premature and inaccurate." Instead, he emphasized that Alpha would return to Uganda to complete his season in the Uganda Premier League (UPL) after the trials.
Bebe Cool, whose real name is Moses Ssali, is currently abroad with his wife, Zuena Kirema, and their children, Alpha and Beata Ssali. Their extended stay in Spain had fueled rumors about Alpha’s football prospects, prompting this clarification.
