Afrobeat artist Sqoop Larma has teamed up with Kibbo Ghetto Climate Change Foundation, a non-profit organization focused on educating communities about climate change, especially in the vulnerable ghettos of Uganda. The partnership, announced shortly after his signing with Kibbo Establishment under talent manager Vincent Mubiru, highlights Sqoop’s commitment to social impact alongside his music career.

The Kibbo Ghetto Climate Change Foundation works to improve social well-being by teaching communities about the effects of environmental pollution and the importance of ecosystem restoration.

Ghettos, being some of the most densely populated areas, are often disproportionately affected by climate change and environmental degradation. The foundation aims to mitigate these impacts by promoting a cleaner, greener environment, emphasizing the importance of sustainability in a way that is both entertaining and informative.

Sqoop Larma has played an active role in the foundation's mission, engaging directly with the communities. Through music, performances, and outreach programs, he has helped spread awareness of pressing environmental issues. His involvement is a testament to his dedication to uplifting marginalized communities, particularly in educating them on how to cope with and combat climate change.

The foundation’s work includes planting trees, reducing waste, and encouraging environmentally-friendly practices, all of which align with Sqoop Larma’s desire to make a lasting impact.

Speaking at a recent event, Larma expressed his passion for not only using his platform to entertain but also to educate, stating that this partnership is a step towards ensuring that future generations inherit a cleaner planet.

As part of the initiative, Sqoop Larma and the foundation have been actively restoring ecosystems in the ghettos, a key element of the foundation’s broader vision to improve life in the most vulnerable communities.

The involvement of artists like Sqoop Larma helps ensure that important messages about climate change reach a wider audience, inspiring action through both music and social work.

This collaboration underscores the power of combining entertainment with social responsibility, as Sqoop Larma continues to use his platform for more than just music, but also as a tool for positive change.
