Kampala socialite and businessman, Don Nasser, real name Nasser Nduhukire, has been remanded back to Luzira Prison until October 23rd, 2024, over charges of aggravated human trafficking and exploitation of a minor after appearing in court again today.

Don Nasser was initially arrested in Nairobi, Kenya, where he had fled to avoid prosecution, and was extradited to Uganda to face charges. According to authorities, the investigation began in June this year after a 16-year-old girl's parents filed a police case.

The victim allegedly met Don Nasser at Tagore Apartments in Acacia Mall before being trafficked to Kito in Kira Division, where they engaged in unethical activities for three days.

After his arrest and extradition, Don Nasser was first arraigned before the Buganda Road Court on October 8th and remanded to Luzira Prison. Today's court appearance resulted in an additional two-week remand period.

The charges against Don Nasser carry a maximum penalty of death. His trial is expected to begin at the High Court after committed by the Buganda Road Court.
