Film commentator VJ Junior has issued a heartfelt apology to supporters of the National Unity Platform (NUP) for the sharp critiques and witty commentary he made in one of his movies about ‘Foot soldiers.’

VJ Junior has been a household name in the film industry for over a decade, but his recent remarks sparked controversy.

His films, celebrated for their humor and insightful commentary, have not been shy about expressing his political views, often taking jabs at NUP and its charismatic leader, Bobi Wine. His comments, though intended as satire, have been perceived as hurtful by many in the NUP community. The backlash has been palpable, with supporters voicing their displeasure and feeling disrespected.

Initially, VJ Junior stood by his comments, but he has since had a change of heart. In an open and sincere apology, he acknowledged the pain his words may have caused and expressed regret for his actions.

“Hey everyone, I wanted to take a moment to apologize for my recent comments about NUP supporters,” VJ Junior said in a statement. “I realize now that my words were hurtful and disrespectful, and for that, I’m truly sorry. As someone who values kindness and respect, I fell short of my own standards. Please know that my intention was not to offend or divide, but to express my opinion.”

He went on to emphasize the importance of his supporters and their role in his career. “I understand that my words have consequences, and I promise to be more thoughtful and considerate in the future. Thank you for holding me accountable and for your continued support. I appreciate your love and encouragement.”
