A few weeks ago, Zedmonk spent sleepless days fighting to break the record by freestyling nonstop for 75 hours.
Now, his efforts have arlready started paying off as he has been rewarded by the Governent of Uganda during a ceremony that took place at the National Theatre during the World Culture Day celebrations.
According to Switch, as Zedmonk was receiving his award of Excellence from Minister for Gender and Culture Peace Regis Mutuuzo, she told him that his outstanding performance and sacrifice to raise the Ugandan flag is unmatched.
“This is to thank you for being outstanding and sacrificing for the country to raise its flag. We are extremely happy and thank you for finishing 75 hours of rap, it is not easy” Minister Peace Mutuuzo said.
He also took it to his social media platforms to celebrate this huge milestone in his career.
"State Minister for Gender and Culture Affairs Peace Mutuuzo yesterday awarded @zedmonk_ssabatontomi the award of Excellence from the Ministry of Gender, Labour and Social Development. She appreciated him for his Guinness World Records attempt for the Longest Rap Marathon"- he posted.
