Hon Joel Ssenyonyi of the National Unity Platform (NUP) and Prime Minister Robinah Nabanja engaged in a heated exchange during a public function, shedding light on alleged government fund misappropriation and how they taxpayer's money.

The spat unfolded as both politicians voiced their concerns about the rampant misuse of government funds by members of parliament and other officials. Ssenyonyi directly implicated Nabanja, claiming she was complicit in the malfeasance.

According to the leader of the opposition, every disappearing penny seems to pass through Nabanja's office, leaving him bewildered as to how such incidents occur under her watch. Ssenyonyi asserted that Nabanja was among those "feasting" on government funds.

In response, Prime Minister Nabanja vehemently denied any involvement in the alleged misappropriation. Expressing frustration, she accused Ssenyonyi of baseless mudslinging, asserting that she has been unfairly targeted without any evidence to support the claims.

"I am tired of people like Joel Ssenyonyi dragging my name through the mud when I have no knowledge of any government fund mismanagement," Nabanja declared. She vehemently denied accusations that she pilfered iron sheets or participated in any illicit distribution of funds among officials.

The recent scandal surrounding NUP's former leader of opposition, Mathias Mpuuga, who was accused of embezzling over UGX 500 Million, was also brought into the spotlight during the exchange. Nabanja distanced herself from the controversy, emphasizing that she played no role in the alleged financial misconduct.
