Earlier this week on Sunday, Blizz Uganda and Mubende FM sports Journalist, Buweekula FC Spokesperson, and Deuces Lounge manager Kenneth Kariyo was rushed to the hospital after a nasty Boda Boda accident while on his way back home from having lunch with friends at Booma Hotel, he sustained head injuries leading to his death leaving behind a 9 year old son.

According to reports from Mubende, the late Kariyo was on a boda boda with friends, Kellon and Mutesi when the brakes failed on a ‘sharp’ new Boom Hill road and the Boda Boda rider ran away leaving them fighting for their lives.

A few minutes later, the victims were rushed to Mubende Regional Referral Hospital emergency wing for treatment but unfortunately Kenneth’s situation was a more serious and after a CT Scan, results confirmed that the radio sports star had injured his skull after hitting his head on the road pavement and got a 6cm blood clot in his brain.

It is then reported that the hospital reffered him to Mulago Hospital for anemergency surgery but unfortunately, he breathed his last on the way in the evening hours at around 6:00.

His body was taken back to Mubende Regional Hospital where Rhino funeral services picked up his body and headed to mubende community library for the community last view of a friend.

On Tuesday 27, 2024, Kenneth’s body was laid to rest at his ancestral home at Lusaana village in Kigando – Kasambya in Mubende District.

Kenneth’s employers, workmates, and friends praised him for having a genuine heart and being passionate about everything he laid his hands on during his breathing time.

Kenneth, the ‘late’ now, was buried with the ball in his grave to bring out a clear message that he was indeed a sports star.
